Electric Sunshine Cult Release Spotlight May–June 2026: Building a Global Underground


The past month has been one of the strongest release periods in Electric Sunshine Cult history. From uplifting trance and melodic bass music to underground hip-hop, dubstep, techno, alternative rock, and experimental electronic sounds, artists from around the world came together to showcase what makes independent music culture thrive.


Representing countries across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, this release cycle demonstrates the growing international reach of the Electric Sunshine Cult community and its mission to support creators regardless of location, genre, or industry status.


May 1, 2026

Zubair Uzzal – ONE FOR ME


Zubair Uzzal opened the month with a soaring uplifting trance anthem that blended cinematic orchestral elements, emotional vocals, and euphoric electronic production. Built around themes of love, memory, and connection across distance, "ONE FOR ME" delivered both introspective moments and festival-ready energy.


Influensik – resurrection


Atmospheric drum & bass producer Influensik delivered a powerful statement with "resurrection. Driven by deep basslines, haunting textures, and cinematic tension, the release explored themes of rebuilding, perseverance, and finding strength after adversity.



Tikko – Ion Wanna Stay


Released in partnership with Mad Wizard Records, Tikko's "Ion Wanna Stay" brought raw underground hip-hop energy inspired by Memphis-phonk aesthetics. The track tackled mental struggle, self-reflection, and survival through honest storytelling and dark production.



TheEnough – Take Control


TheEnough introduced listeners to his evolving GasCore Fusión sound with a cinematic dubstep release built around dystopian emergency broadcast samples, heavy bass design, and immersive atmosphere. "Take Control" showcased both aggression and emotional depth while pushing his creative vision forward.



Jrokstorm – Afterglow


One of the most emotional releases of the month, "Afterglow" captured the feeling of a beautiful moment coming to an end while celebrating the warmth that remains afterward. Combining chillout production with heartfelt storytelling, Jrokstorm created a soundtrack for reflection and gratitude.

Distorted Vortex & Yottabyte – Ouroboros (Excells Remix)

Excells transformed Ouroboros into a darker and heavier dubstep experience. Packed with cinematic tension, distorted textures, and massive bass drops, the remix offered a fresh perspective on the original release while staying true to its underground roots.

Released through Mad Wizard Records, "Angels On Earth" continued Rose For My Regret's emotionally driven alternative sound, combining vulnerability, atmosphere, and expressive songwriting into a deeply personal listening experience.

OnlyLuccc – WISH THEY SEEN MY FACE


OnlyLuccc brought his signature underground rap style to ESC audiences with a release focused on ambition, personal growth, and determination. The track further established his growing presence within the international hip-hop scene.

Distorted Vortex – The Sq4 Arcade Machine / Nightmare Fuel

🇬🇧 United Kingdom / 🇧🇬 Bulgaria


One of the most unique releases of the month came from Distorted Vortex with a two-track journey that explored two very different moods.


"The Sq4 Arcade Machine" embraced retro gaming influences, playful sound design, and nostalgic electronic energy. In contrast, "Nightmare Fuel" was intentionally designed as a darker counterpart for the second half of the release. Built around unsettling atmospheres, ominous textures, and heavy bass elements, the track set out to create something genuinely creepy and immersive.



The release also marked the official Electric Sunshine Cult debut of Bulgarian producer DEEPCAT, who collaborated on "Nightmare Fuel." His addition expanded the roster into Bulgaria and introduced a talented new producer to the ESC community.

Inspired by nostalgia, personal experiences, and the support found within the ESC producer community, "Crystal Voices" delivered an emotional melodic dubstep experience balancing beautiful melodies with explosive bass-driven drops.



firstex – conquer


Straight from Dagestan, firstex unleashed a powerful hardwave record driven by cybernetic aesthetics, futuristic synth work, and relentless energy. Despite its short runtime, "conquer" left a lasting impression.



Benda Nera – Wtf is this track


Sometimes the title says everything. Benda Nera embraced experimentation and unpredictability, delivering a techno release that challenged structure and convention while maintaining dancefloor energy.



LAZYROXX – GOOD GIIRL


Blending deep 140 bass influences with dubstep-inspired sound design, LAZYROXX created a dark and immersive listening experience built around hypnotic vocal elements and powerful low-end pressure.

Just one week after DEEPCAT's ESC debut, he returned alongside Distorted Vortex for another collaboration.



SCARLET_MANSION_ dives into darker electronic territory through haunting atmospheres, experimental sound design, and immersive storytelling. The track further demonstrated the creative chemistry between Distorted Vortex and DEEPCAT while showcasing the international collaborations that continue to shape the ESC roster.

An emotionally intense alternative release rooted in emo influences, "He Died For Your Zyns" explored nightmares, identity, self-reflection, and emotional conflict through vivid lyrics and passionate vocal performances.

Liverpool artist Pickle delivered one of the most personal releases of the month with "Strong." Combining atmospheric production and honest lyricism, the track explored resilience, heartbreak, survival, and pushing forward despite life's challenges.

This remastered three-track dubstep compilation featured:
